How it works
From install to share in three steps
Capture Screen mirrors the flow teams already expect: get the desktop app, select what matters, then capture or present with privacy controls ready.
- 01
Install on your desktop
Download Capture Screen for Windows, macOS, or Linux and set it up in minutes. One lightweight app covers the systems you already use.
- Get the Windows .exe, the macOS .dmg for your Mac, or a Linux .AppImage, .deb, or .rpm. An account is not required to install.
- Open the app and allow screen recording when your operating system asks. On macOS this lives in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
- The app stays in the background until you need a screenshot or recording.
- 02
Choose what to capture
Select a full display, a single window, or a custom region. Mark sensitive areas to blur or highlight before you share—so demos stay clear and private.
- Full screen covers an entire display. Window capture isolates one app. Region capture lets you drag the exact area you want.
- Blur emails, IDs, dashboards, or API keys before the image or recording leaves your machine.
- Highlight the control, error, or step you want viewers to notice.
- 03
Capture, adjust, share
Take a snapshot or start a recording, fine-tune overlays with the floating toolbar, then share to meetings, tutorials, and walkthroughs with confidence.
- Take a still screenshot or start a recording from the same capture session.
- Use the floating toolbar to change blur strength, clear a region, or stop without leaving fullscreen.
- Export the result and drop it into a meeting, ticket, doc, or tutorial.
